On February 23 TangoTab had its first ever Feeding Frenzy. We had volunteers at four major intersections through the Dallas area in the morning from 7:30a-9:30a. At these different locations we had people displaying the messages of TangoTab such as, “When You Eat, They Eat” and “We’re standing here so they don’t have to.” Through this our volunteers were able to educate people on the global hunger problem that we are seeing in our society today.
Here are some of the major hunger facts we were letting people know about:
- There are 925 malnourished people in the world.
- 1 in 6 people in America will go to bed hungry tonight.
- Over 5 million children die from hunger each year. That’s equivalent of 1 child every 5 seconds.
- The average American eats out over 4 times per week. That could be four people fed from one person just in a week’s time.
The first Feeding Frenzy was a great success. Once again thank you very much to all of the volunteers that came out to the Feeding Frenzy.
