Take a look at the write up on TangoTab by our friend, Steven Lindsey, contributed to Gay List Daily Dallas on 11/22. http://www.gaylistdaily.com/2011/11/22/hungry-for-a-cause/
Suffering from Groupon burnout? We’ve been there.
Tired of too many teeth-whitening deals? We’ve been there, too.
More interested in scarfing down cheap nachos than curling up in a discount yoga pose? We’vedefinitely been there.
In fact, when it comes to eating out, we’re always on the hunt for a good deal on great food (so no dollar menus in our future).
That’s why we were so excited to find TangoTab, one of the newest discount services to enter the Dallas market. But don’t stop reading. This one is really different.
For one, there’s nothing to purchase in advance. Simply log on to the site and look for dozens of same-day and future discounts. Deals range from 50% off the entire menu, to discount cocktails, or maybe just a free bowl of queso. It all depends on the restaurant and the time of day, but it’s always worth looking before you head out for a meal.
There’s a new web site coming soon, which is great because the current one is pretty glitchy if you try to perform too many searches in a row or use search filters. (hint: just hit the ‘Search Deals’ link and start over if you get a message stating that there are “no deals in this city.”)
But we’ll forgive them because TangoTab is all about the greater good. Once you click to reserve a discount deal, money is donated to a local food charity. They’re currently committed to providing 25,000 meals to hungry people before Christmas through Minnie’s Food Pantry in Plano.
So, if you want to eat cheap and be merry, TangoTab is ready to feed the hungry – both you and those in need.
